A lot of people say “that’s too much” or “why” or “nba players don’t do that”… But the reason why trainers and players do most of what they do in training is because it’s all they know and it’s the thing that’s expected… It’s rare for people to accept the hard truth that playing against players who are better than you in a truly competitive environment is the most important thing for development by a country mile… But when you have the opportunity to push yourself, by yourself, or with a couple of other people, why wouldn’t you??? Why do people just do mundane things?? Because of habit? Because it’s what’s normal? I think players should be doing things that will actually force them to become more skilled, more athletic and better basketball players… That doesn’t mean you have to do the drills I do… The purpose of the drills we do is that it’s a way to easily communicate the standard required… The standard of finding objective boundaries and pushing them… However you want to slice it, that’s what matters… The drills we do force players to find that boundary… Thats why they work. #gooddrill
