Meet 🌺Lilo🌺 !!! I know there are many votes on TikTok for the name "Penny" but our rescue has had a lot of Pennys in our care in the last year so we needed something more unique! First of all, SO excited for @Disney live action Lilo and Stitch coming out soon! 🌺Lilo🌺 means "generous one" or "lost,” which feels incredibly fitting for this little girl since she was found as a stray but still so trusting and loving 🥹 In the movie, Lilo is a spunky, big-hearted girl who finds and loves an odd little creature (kind of like this creature with her underbite!). Fostering is no $ out of your personal pocket. Fostering gives dogs the chance to be supported financially by a rescue + out of the shelter environment and get the care that they need. Fostering also helps dogs recover from illnesses in a quiet, calm space that the shelter may not otherwise be able to offer. And as a last reminder, please try to refrain from encouraging foster parents to keep their foster dogs. Lilo landed herself the most perfect mama, and shes keeping her name! She is doing fantastic and her adopter said shes adjusting to her new home, coming out of her shell and “She’s literally the friendliest and gentlest dog I’ve ever met 😭” At this time she does not have any social media, but if that changes in the future, I will be sure to let you all know!
